We are Pandora radio users at home and love it. Does anyone on here play Pandora on their boats through a Blackberry or other wireless? I tried to use my wifes Blackberry , but it's for her work and it's limited on the apps and downloads she can use.
What is the sound quality like and how well does it work for you? I am thinking of switching to a Blackberry as well.

I use it with my iPhone on my boat and it sounds decent. Nice when you don't feel like messing with a playlist.

I also use it on my iphone, only trouble is you need to have a strong cell signal otherwise the signal breaks up. I use it when the boat is anchored and it works perfect and I just run with the ipod when boarding. I think you should be fine if you are at a lake that has 3G coverage, but we can only pick up Edge at our lakehouse.

I use slacker radio on my verizon blackberry. It works awesome. I don't know much about pandora, but I think it is the same concept.

It works great. I actually quit using Sirius on the boat because I found Slacker was far superior.

You can run Slacker in cache mode which will copy the station playlist to your storage card on your phone. This way you dont have to have worry about signal strength.

We use pandora through my Verizon Blackberry on the boat and works great. Kind of sucks when someone calls or texts as it restarts the song, but other than that works great.

Diggs--

I used to have the same issue with Pandora. They fixed that bug. If you upgrade to the latest version you won't have that problem anymore.

I meet my monthly limit on Pandora way too early to use it regularly =\

sorry...missed the earlier thread.

Can the quality of the sound be as good as my Ipod in an area with good service?

Hopefully not. I say that because your iPod should be at a higher bitrate than 128 (both slacker and Pandoras top). Fella's, if you're playing in cached mode your at 40kbs which is crap.
