Buena Vista Lagoon

On Saturday night I took my girlfriend to San Diego for the night, then on Sunday afternoon we were driving up I5 north back to Orange County and we drove past what I think was Buena Vista Lagoon, it was just south of Tamarack road exit, and there were people wakeboarding. Is this a good place to ride?

it's carlsbad lagoon.

Very crowed during the summer and shollow. But, if you need to wakeboard, it's not "too bad". I am sure there are a lot of other places that would be worse.

You are talking about Joe's. There is a Buena Vista Lake just outside of Bakersfield, CA... I think I got confused....

It is open to the public, you can bring your boat, and it is salt water. I believe the Ronix rep Jason Mendes and another guy named Josh own the board shop that is right there at the launch. They do lessons and on Fridays in the summer have a thing called "free ride Fridays" where you get a pull and burger for $20. I rode there and it is small and gets choppy if there are other boats out.
