I have a 2000 malibu escape lsv converted to a 23 wakesetter lsv. It has the stock prop (don't know the pitch) Does anyone have suggestions. Should I stay with the pitch I have now or change to a pitch with a better hole shot. I don't want to give up too much top end though (approx 44 mph)

I just had mine repaired (Acme 537) to 15 pitch and .070 cup. I lowered the pitch and cup from the original specs and the prop is awesome. I figured I'd give the repitch with the repair a shot (luckily it came out great), and if I ding it again, go with a brand new one and keep the old as a spare like clubmyke suggested to you.

I had mine repitched with poor results. The prop didn't vibrate but it was noisy, sounded like turbulence. Ended up buying a new prop after spending $150 for the re-pitch. A caddy suggests buy new, keep the old as a spare.

I also have an Escape LSV 23 wakesetter with a stock OJ prop. We have the stock MLS, 2 550 lb sacks on either side of the engine and 600 lbs of lead. With more than 4 people in the boat, it would struggle to gewt on plane. I got a new ACME (I think is was the 1250) and it made a big difference. I lost around 5 mph of top end, but we never run the boat all out. 90% of our time we are at 21 mph. I have been very happy with the new prop and the better hole shot we get with it.
