James has been successful at landing shuv's on his surfstyle board, but after landing it was problematic to shuv-out back to regular riding position. The nose of his board is too narrow and quite frankly squirrely. :-) Mid Shuv.

We had Mike Walker of the Walker Project add some fullness in the nose, to create more of a PINTAIL shape when the board was revert after a shuv and also add a single FCS plug to allow a very small 1" fin.

This picture compares the nose of the board above to the new "WSX" prototype board. The WSX is about 2" inches longer, however.

We made the fin by cutting off the last 1 inch+ of a Futures 4" fin and shaping the tang to fit into the FCS plug...not my best work, but this is what the final result looks like:

Our hope is that the fin in concert with the added width will afford the board enough stability to allow James to shuv-out.
