My friend is getting an X-2 and i was wondering if anyone knows roughly how much they weight and if you think they can be towed by a ford escape.

My guess is 4,500lbs to 5,000lbs with a trailer, gas, and gear. I believe the max. towing capacity on an Escape is 3500lb so I wouldn't recommend it. An Explorer would work better.

Mike: it depends on where you are taking it - if you have a level drive to the lake and back you will be "OK". I'd get a reciever hitch for sure tho.
