Has anyone had any experience wakeboarding in Italy. My kids and wife are going in June and I thought it might be possible for them to hook up for a pull or even a lesson on Como or Majore.

I'll let you know tomorrow, Giuliano Molli (Italian wakeboard superstar) will be here tomorrow night and I know he works at a camp there... I'll post up or have him when I see him.

I saw a Mastercraft X series boat on Como near Bellagio. I have sold some tower speakers to a guy that has a Malibu VLX on Como as well. Rad place.

I visited a friend in the Air Force in Italy two years ago. I didn't do any riding but saw some sick lakes. Here is a picture of a lake that borders a small town called Sirmione.

I GOT TO RIDE WITH THE ITALIAN NATIONAL MASTERS CHAMP PIGI. JUST ABOUT 10 MILES FROM FLORENCE... HE HAS A PRIVATE LAKE FOR INSTRUCTION...
ONE FUNNY STORY, WHEN MY WIFE, DAUGHTER AND I ARRIVED, HAD A BEER, PIGI ASKED ME WHAT SIZE TABLE I LIKED. I SHOWED HIM WITH MY HAND, ABOUT 2 FOOT TALL, (I THOUGHT HE MEANT MY WAKE-TABLE) HE TRIED TO SAY BOARD SIZE IN ENGLISH... HE LOOKED AT ME FUNNY AND WALKED ME OVER TO HIS WAKEBOARD ROOM SO I COULD PICK THE SIZE AND BRAND OF WAKEBOARD TO USE... WE HAD A BIG LAUGH AT THAT.
WE HAD A SUPER FUN SESSION AND WENT OUT HAD SOME GREAT ITALIAN WINE AND PASTA... PEOPLE THERE WERE SUPER FRIENDLY. I WILL LOOK UP HIS WEBSITE AND POST IT LATER.
THE THIRD PICTURE FROM THE LEFT ON MY PROFILE WAS SHOT IN ITALY. ENJOY IT - AMAZING. ALOHA FROM HUNTINGTON BEACH!

I like a delicous pizza with extra sauce, pepperoni, onions, tomatos, sausage and pepperoncinis after riding...

Michael,

Going to Aviano? I was there for several months right after the war in 2000. Shoot a line if you have any questions. I didn't ride back then so I can't tell you about the lakes but I can get you dialed in on the area.

Thanks Mike!
I am looking forward to getting over to Aviano, I will be there for the next 4 years. I sold my boat this summer when I found out I was heading to Italy. I would really like to keep wakeboarding but I have not heard of anything in the northern part of Italy. I guess I will just have to wait and see.
