hi, i'm looking for a boat (new or used)that i can be confident that small stuff wont keep going wrong on it (reliable), something that i can pull tubers, skiers, wakeboarders, etc. and has a decent sized wake for wakeboarding. what i'm aiming to spend is $20-$25,000, maybe a little bit more, but i'm really new to this and have no idea which name i can trust for that price, that has a decent wake. Also, if i get it used, how many hours is considered too many?

Sounds like you need to go to a dealer in your area & talk to them, take a few boats out for a test drive, etc.

If you keep your hour limit under about 500 or 700, then you should be looking at boats with plenty of life left in them. Have a local mechanic check them out to be sure.

This board is going to be full of recommendations for inboards & primarily v-drives. Manufacturers like Malibu, Mastercraft, Correct Craft (Nautique), Tige, Supra, Moomba (Skier's Choice), Calabria, etc....... they all make descent boats in a variety of styles, sizes & prices.

The bottom line is go get out on the water with some boat owners in your area. See their boats, and what you do & don't like. Listen to their suggestions about the local lakes, dealers, etc.

And posting the same thread multiple times doesn't do you a lot of good. Keep it simple....
