Besides size what are the primary differences with these two boats. I know they have the same hull but is one wake different than the other? What about the surf wake? I'd test drive the lsv but no demos in feb.

Mostly size of interior and LSV is better with Hammerhead (more $). I have had both. Only a foot difference.

But the interior space is so much more in the LSV. I think there is a reason that Chad Sharpe has a LSV (or did). It throws a huge wake and its nice to pile people in at times. Downside, you will need a fair amount more weight to sink the LSV. The wake is similar, a bit wider on the LSV perhaps.

I think Heavy summed most of it up. The LSV can be just as big (if not bigger) than the VLX wake but you will have to add more weight to sink it. The wake shape should be almost the same between boats The wake is wider as well on the LSV but I don't ever see this as an issue (maybe even a plus) except for those just learning to go w2w. The surf wake on both boats will be very nice.

Again, like Heavy said, all of that extra 1.5 feet comes in the middle section of the boat so it has much more room for seating in the horse shoe.

Are you getting another 'Bu at the show Brett?

Did you sell the VLX?

There was some talk of people upgrading in the Utah thread.... I am sure your VLX would get some heads turning.

Agreed it needs a lot of weight, if you sink it the wake is next to none. I also like the roomer interior. I came from a VLX and loved it but will keep buying LSV in the future.
