That's a great lookin wake for a 17' I.O.!!!
What engine and prop do you have in the SeaRay????
Whenever we put that much weight in balast or passengers towards the stern all it did was made it even slower to plane out.
We have been running 550lbs. mid-ship and with a couple of bodies in the bow we plane easier and our wake was just Ok even with the I.O. trimmed up.
We have the 5.0L and 17p Hi-five prop.

dude, add weight, a tower, a hydrofoil on the outdrive (dramatically reduces plaining speed and allows you to sharpen up the wake tremenously)and you have a great boat for recreational boarding.SO for under 2,000 you will have a boat that works just fine, or untill your ready to join the pro tour:-)

wakeman, where in Tampa do you live? I live on a private lake out near Brandon and my bud has a sweet 2001 that you may be able to take a set behind.
