Backyard Pool

Looking to build a pool setup in my backyard in the next couple weeks. Whats a rough estimate of what i will have to spend? Looking at 2 pools an A-frame and some type of flat box. Any suggestions or things i should know about?

if i was doing one on my property i would rent a bobcat and dig it out. use some of the dirt you pull out and build up the outsides to make it a little deeper. the cost of renting the bobcat should be the same as building wood boxes. maybe a little cheeper. if you have the room do about 75 feet for the starting pool and probably around 50 for the landing pool. i'd put a wallride, a frame and a flat bar you can always switch them around too.

to make it even cheaper... get all your friends who will be riding it and tell them to bring a shovel ;)
(granted it will take longer)

I've seen pictures where hay bails are used to outline the pool with tarps draped over to hold the water. so if you have cheap access to hay bails then that might work too.

All in all i personally have almost no experience but have seen some pics ;)

yea if you have the land its going to be way cheaper, safer, and will last longer to dig the pools even if you rent a bobcat. building the pools is a hard thing to do to make it stable and last more than one day. it doesnt seem like it but theres alot of force being put on the walls of the pools when you push the water while riding around

HAHA a bobcat will be way cheaper those liners are like 10k. Dig a hole and get to work. If you need a winch give me a call.

Maybe trying renting a backhoe or something larger than a bobcat. I dont know how hard your ground there is but I rented a bobcat to build some stuff at my house and couldnt get it to dig more than an inch or two per pass. Took me 4 days to get down what I thought I could do in 1. Our ground here is f'ing hard though

I live in florida so grounds sand which is fine but i would still need a liner though im thinking just some tarps will work. Idk if i want to dig holes at my house though

If I were doing it, I would dig holes. Plan it out so that they look good and increase your property value.

i would switch the measurments around. 50 start pool 75 landing! Sorry ryan! and if you are digging it just dig it as long as you possibly can so you dont even have to mess with riding over land.

yah dooie something exactly like that i think i have decided to dig holes just gotta get a tractor to my house wish i would have never sold mine seems like the cheapest way haybails are expensive who would've thought lol
