custom 2001 - post pics or comments.

The 2001 is probably the best older wakeboard boat. I am wondering what sort of modifications can be done to the boat to modernize it, make it more functionnal.
I bought a 1985 last year. I'd like to change the guages, add a ballast system, change the seating...

Eric, that boat sold a couple months ago. I agree though....very nice 2001.

Justin, check out the2001.com. There are a few custom boats/projects there.

Most boats, especially those from the 80's, are very simple machines...basically only limited by your budget and imagination when customizing. Good luck and be sure to post up some pics over at the2001.com

I don't know if I'll be able to do much of anything to the boat (I wish I had an unlimited budget too.) Bought a tower last year for it though.

The boat from the wakeworld post is super nice! I like the red and black.

My boat is like the one in the first wakeboarder link that has the caption ERIK (the sixth picture) same color scheme, tower (except it is gunmetal gray and placed so it isn't as square looking)
