I got into wakeboarding last summer and bought a boat a few weeks ago, 2000 Moomba Kamberra. Well, I am getting it ready for summer and next on the list is a handle. I am not sure if I want to get a carbon handle or a wrapped handle. A friend of mine has a carbon handle, but won't be on my boat all of the time...is either one better?

thanks in advance.

Nate, the only reason to get a wrapped handle is if you or your crew plan on doing wrapped tricks, otherwise your spending extra $ for something you won't use.

Thanks Randy,

Is it something that would be useful eventually? I have been snowboarding for 8 yrs and expect that I should progress fairly quickly..is the wrapped handle something that is good to have for the future? Or is a carbon handle the better way to go? I want to get something I can progress with - and not have to replace in a year or two... after all - they are not cheap..lol

And - and this point I am not sure if I will be doing wrapped tricks or not.. I jsut dont want to be ill prepared...

thanks again!

IMO stay away from the carbon handles. u just have to be careful with them, not to hit the boat or drop them on the ground. i had a parks and a buddy drop it on the ground and cracked it.

Nate, sounds like you are into improving and going for it. Right on!!! Wrapped tricks are fun and gives you more time for grabs. Go for the Wrapped and have fun.........

Why choose one? Get a carbon handle with a wrap t-bar. Or instead of going with the carbon which breaks & is lame. Get the Proline LG with the T and then you will have the sweetest handle ever. Personally I avoid the wrap handle, if I'm gonna spin I like to pass, but they have their place...

you cant really wrap comfortably with the carbon handle. its like tryin to bend a 2 by for around your back. it just wont work. i would recomend gettin the wrap handle for now. then after you wrap a few tricks and know whether or not you like wrapping up. then make the decision to get a carbon handle

Big Heavy, I agree with the handle pass personally, but you got to admit the Vandal bust some sick a$$ wrapped tricks.

I have the V grip Murray handle from 05, which doesn't necesssarily mean I can pull wrapped tricks... but have no complaints, its a solid handle.
