how do you tell the difference between front spins and backside spins.

The first 180.

If the rider leaves the wake, and turns his back, it's a blind/backside spin.

if the rider leaves the wake and opens up, with his chest forwards, it's a frontside spin.

and no question is a stupid question... you have to learn somehow!

front side- on the first 180 the front of your body faces the boat

backside- on the first 180 your back faces the boat

I ride regular, do a heelside 180 and do not have to pass the handle. This is a frontside 180, correct?
