I just bought a pair of 06 torq hinge bindings. I love them. Is there a way to make the laces shorter? Instead of shorting the laces is there another way? I just don't want the laces flapping around when i ride. Any comments would be appreciated.

Pull the plastic thing off at the bottom. Trim the laces, and reinstal the plastic piece.

don't go too short. When the boot opens, it uses much of the lace.

I went really short on the top of the foot (like minus 8-10 inches cut off). Just enough to loosen them a tiny bit to help release

Then took less off the ankle. Need as much as possible on the ankle to open the thing up wide. Then I just slide the lace through the gator grip behind the ankle. Never get tangles.

I just upgraded to the Faction and did the same with these. No problems.

I'm pretty sure the torqs have an elastic loop on the Grips on the back. I know the Zeus does, the best way is to shorten them and then run them through the lace holder, it works quite well.

Yup the Torqs have the elastic loop lace holder.

My laces are always tangled when I try to get them undone; I might give this a shot.
