Boat has been floating at dock for the last 3 months since water got too low to use lift and has a tidy-bowl ring at the waterline. Now that lake level is moving back up I can start using the lift but was wondering if I should wait until I can dedicate time to scrub the waterline or if lifting it and letting it dry in place wont make a difference. Any experience with this?

Starbrite hull cleaner will take it off. But the stuff is toxic as he11 so don't do it on the lake. And then a wax job will help make it easier to clean in the future.

defintely heavy and good wax job after using hull cleaner or else it will just stain easily.

Get as much crud off while it is still in the water with soap, water, rag, and scrub brush to get off what you can. A ton easier to get muck off before it dries. To get any remaining stains use any number of hull cleaners / stain removers - toilett bowl cleaner will work too. They are all mild acids and you have to do it while it is on land or on the lift. Rinse thoroughly and wax.

I will vouch for the starbrite hull cleaner. I take my boat out once a month and it always has a nasty lake line on it but the starbrite cleaner and a power washer make cleaning a cinch
