I am really looking forward to try out a flex board and I would like to ride a company board. I have no way what so ever to demo one. To my knowledge there isnt a place in Charlotte NC to demo. I am 6'4 230 and am really getting my w2w dialed in and almost have my first grab. Which one offers a better w2w pop? I also love doing surface tricks.
The Severance has better "w2w pop" due to the 3 stage rocker. Both are sick decks and are a blast to ride. We have the 2010's in stock and also some great deals on 2009's. Let me know if you have any questions.
Oh and if you ever come to Nor Cal we have the full line to demo at our wakeboard camp.
We actually have not shipped any 2010 product domestically yet (In reference to "boardersolutions.com / antbug post"). There are indeed great deals on the 2009 stuff out there though! Hi-5's...
The 2010 Severance and Recruit do have core changes. We have added more wood into the core of the board. Other then that the shapes are unchanged for 2010.
more wood making it have more flex or less? does it have those contour stringers in them like the vandal? did you guys use morning wood for the strongest wood possible?
We added more wood in the nose and tail of the boards. Making them still just as flexible, but wood will retain its shape faster then ABS plastic. So the nose and tail will be more lively. It does not use the same stringers as the Vandall. The Vandall is the only board using the ARC technology.
It looks like you ride on Lake Hartwell. If you're up for it, I ride on Lake Lanier in Georgia, about an hour and a half southwest of Hartwell. If you want to make the trip, I've got both a Recruit and Severance you could demo.
Thanks all. I think I will be giving the Sev a try. Jared I only ride hartwell a few times a year as I live near Charlotte NC. But my Bro lives in Villa Rica Ga near Atl. That might give me a good reason to ride down there lol! I will definately let you know! What years are they?
