Anyone have or know how to hook up a PA system to the boats audio system, so you can bark instructions to the rider? It'd be nice to have a CB-style handle, push the talk button, override the music, and instruct, or insult. Any ideas?

JH, a bullhorn doesn't do much for muting the stereo, does it? Just more noise. Infinity did used to make one. I think you can still get them, but I am going NVS on the tower.

I know I could easily put a PA type system in my boat. By some sort of adapter to hook up a CB mircophone up thru the aux port on my eq.

Easy...

Radio Shach has a wireless mic that has audio level out, just hook that right into your aux in. Now getting it to work without feedback may be another issue. Better mics are available but the RS unit is cheap enough to experiment and see if it's a good application.

Radio shack used to sell a karaoke mixer that a regular mic plugged into and had rca outputs. It was about $40 but we picked two up on clearance for 20 each. Uses 12vdc as power and you can use a regular radar detector style cord for it. If you do some research you should be able to either find the RS one or another brands one.

Wynns have it on the Camo Malibu....it runs through a CB system on the boat. You select "PA" and your radio head unit has to have an input.
