DRA - UNION PONT CANCELLED TOMORROW

Hey guys, I just talked to Gary with DRA. The San Joaquin Sheriff's Dept. is now requiring special permits for events hosted at Union Point. They anticipate no problems with acquiring the permits, but unfortunately, there is a 10 day processing period. DRA just learned of the problem today!

The San Joaquin Sheriffs department has forced us to cancel Saturday the 19th's event due to them delaying our re-permitting of our events. In response we have canceled the scheduled event and will re-schedule it for a later date but the remaining events will go on as planed. We will bring them bigger and better than we have in the past. We will ride on.

I was just out there riding today near the area. It's really windy and rough out there. Save the comp for better day.

How can they all the sudden do this? Union Point is a private establishment, and according to them the docks are private property also. The only thing I can see being a problem is holding a comp and placing bouys in a marked 5mph zone. Is the party next weekend cancelled too thats less than 10 days away. Anyways hope all goes easy and it doesnt go back to bacon rd. that venue sucks.. lol.. good luck.

i boarded by their this mornign adn the water is blown out and pretty rough conditions.it would be more fun on a better day

Memorial weekend event is not a DRA event. You will have to check directly with Union Point.

memorial day event is not a contest

josh smith, aron aubrey, myself, i think derek cook and a couple others will be doing a double up and rail demo alongside a huge party that is alot of fun. come check it out. will be a great time
