i've spent a considerable amount of time in both of these boats... at least 80% of my boarding time in my life has been in one of the two. ps190 - my dad has had one for at least 8 years. pros - very solid boat, handles like a slot car, holds its value like crazy, i love the shape of the wake, we have had zero issues in 8 years or so. cons - small, rated for 7 people, but really maxes out at 6, narrow wake thats not to say i dont like the wake, you will just land in the flats every time. centurion - i assume the 93 is the same as the 96 falcon i have spent alot of time behind, it was a buddys parents for 4 years, they baught a 05 VLX and sold it to another friend of mine. pros - very roomy for a closed bow dd, 4 people across the back seat isnt bad, wake is slightly bigger, wider wake, the rear seat on the 96 turns into a sundeck which is really nice. cons - wont hold its value as well as the mc, doesnt feel as soidly built, but they havnt had any problems with it, sits really low in the water. other notes, i need to weight the 190 more, i've only had 600lb of water in the back and 550lb of people up front. my dad was against fat sacs until last summer, and we only went twice, both times only one of my riding buddies and a couple girls went. this summer i'm gonna have to do something to get some more weight in it, at that point, i'm not worried at all about it taking on water. the falcon on the other hand with the sac full and 5 people in it, it will take on water front or rear at any time. ultamately i'd say neither, look for a nautique 2001 if you just want a sick wake, or spend a little more and get a 20 ft open bow dd. my buddy just picked up a 93 tige open bow for $13,000 nice wake, nice interior. and the open bow will be much easier to sell when it is time to upgrade. sorry, i dont mean to hijack, but ps190 owners, what are you doing for weight? i was thinking some concrete filled tubs on the sides of the motor and the sack behind it. how much room do i have over there, how narrow of tubs do i need? the boats sitting at the lake.
