Will, the 21V did not exist in 2004. It is a brand new boat for 2005. So if you are asking if its deeper than the 22SSV, yes, it is..

Hope this helps!

Hey McFly, my understanding (from my local Supra dealer) is that the 21V hull is an evolution of the Launch DD hull that been around for a number of years, and was only altered as required to run the V-drive drivetrain. As such, it's not really a totally new boat, but rather a new / evolved model in Supra's line.

Don't misinterpret my comments though, I love the Launch DD hull, and I think it's one of the best on the water today. I may be looking at the 21V myself when summer rolls around again.

Shay....Thanks man!!! We need to get together and ride sometime. I wanna check out your XLV.

Mike(bigdeal)....you are correct about the 21v hull vs. the Launch DD hull. to say the 21v is an evolution of the Launch DD is a great way to put it. My understanding is ppl have wanted the Launch in a v-drive for quite some time.

I'm glad i got one of the 1st ones out, and the 1st in ATX!!!!!

Correct, Mike. What I was saying is that the 21V is a brand new boat for 2005, meaning that the Standard Launch has never been offered in a V-drive before.

The evolution analogy is a good one though. Many people have been waiting on that boat forever!

McFly and SupraSteve, you are right in that if Supra had offered the 21V a few years ago when I bought my Moomba, I'd probably have purchased the 21V instead. I almost bought the Launch DD, but opted for the less expensive Moomba since both were DD.

If you guys don't mind my asking, what did it cost ya to get into a 21V? In a way I really hope it's super expensive, since the last thing I need to be thinking about right now is buying another boat.

The 21V retails at $43,995 base.
