I've just ordered a 2009 Moomba Outback V for it's wakesurfing possibilities.

The hull is completely redesigned to throw a better wake.

The Outback is now shorter, wider and deeper than the 2008 hull.

The Gravity III-v ballast system is redesigned using jabsco pumps and the ballast bags are supposed to fill in three minutes.

I have surfed behind a 2003 Moomba Outback DD for the last three years and am very much looking forward to being behind the new Outback V.

I have the 07 LSV. This past weekend we did a little experiment on the wake. What we did was added another 400lb sack to the surf side. So we had 800lbs in the rear locker and 40olbs in the center locker. There was also 4 adults in the boat. The wake was amazing. Best one so far. I do not have pictures of the wake, but I can tell you that it was awesome.

The Mobius XLV is actually the best surf wake I've ever surfed out of any boat (Xstar, X45, Tige 22Ve, Supra 24SSV, Supra 22SSV, Supra 21V, Mobius LSV, Nautique 210, Centurion Avalanche, Malibu VLX). The Mobius LSV has a very nice shape and size as well.

I have a 2000 Mobius V, not sure which hull its most like compared to the newer Moomba's but when weighted properly it throws a monster surf wake on either side.

Moomba's are typically not as wide at the boats Jon Allen was mentioning therefore, you can get them over on their side a little easier. My LSV throws a nice swell with about 750# and someone on the rear.

Get a Wakecraft, best wakesurf wake around!! Stock ballast and you can surf either side without making a change.

We just tried 2 400lbs sacks in the rear locker, 400Lb in the center locker, and four adults. The wake was awesome. Still playing with it. I now need to find out how I will plumb in the new bags.
