Thanks guys. The boards that Eric is making are pretty advanced in art and some construction. He's blending his knowldege from skimming and surfing together. It seems that the skim industry is significantly more advanced in composite engineering than the surf industry, but not all of that translates well behind the boat.

Hey Petr, you have to check these little rail channels also.

Aren't those the crasiest-a$$ fins you've ever seen? They ride like crap behind the boat, but it was great fun to test them. :-)

Anyway, the little rail channels aid squirt and seem to lock the board down a bit. If you've ever looked at the spray coming off your board as you're riding, there is a BUNCH of water that gets pushed off to the sides and these little channels capture some of that and send it out the back.

I didn't get a good picture, but both of these boards have a single concave and the channels are cut into that concave.

Those boards are amazing looking! Great graphics. I bet that takes forever!

Those boards have custom graphics and they are done with paint pen, then shot with clear acrylic to protect them. I guess that Eric does the art while watching TV. :-) Eric was telling me that the Surftech line have the art work reproduced in a laminate that is then molded.
