I think it would be a major step in extreme sports for wakeboarding to be offered as a rec sport. u know all those rec leagues u were in groing up? why not make wakeboarding a part of it. Its just a thought, could it be possible?

sounds a little too expensive for a city to fund something like that... specific donations could make something like that possible potentially however

You are describing exactly what INT League is. It is a local (relatively) wakeboarding or water skiing league.

The extreme costs of boats, equipment and fuel will always hold back this sport. Not to mention insurance costs for those throwing the events....

INT is easy to work for- VOLUNTEER your time

Its all non profit (believe me) and people who love the sport so much they do what it takes to grow it. Grassroots events that rely on the riders to help set up, compete, judge and spread the stoke. Find your local tour, Sam, give them a call and tell them you're there for them.....
