I currently ride a 135cm but was looking to get one that can be ridden 10cm shorter. I noticed my weight range is in between a 125 and a 129. I could get either of the two. What should I do? Thanks

You're how old and weigh how much?

What do you hope to accomplish by getting a shorter board?

IMO you wont land any more spins with a shorter board. Keep the 135 and spend more time on the water. Unless you are under 100 lbs, a 124 wont ride well.

Yeah, better on the 135cm for sure. A smaller board wont noticable spin better, yet it will land much harder. Are you riding on the widest stance possible? Get your feet out wide so you have a good strong base and lower your center of gravity. Will help you spin and stick landings with the 135cm and you get the benefit of the more surface area with the 135cm.

Look at a LF Fish. That is a board made to be ridden shorter. I went from a 141 to a fish 129 and really like the board.

I also know that the Marius is a really wide board. I dont know if it is supposed to be ridden shorter but it might be something to look at.

yeah I was looking into getting the fish. Going from an omega. I like the fin set up and specs of the fish way better, and the concave bottom.

i would go with the 129 if i were you
the fish rides really slow, so a little bit longer will help with the speed a little, and will give you a little better pop and softer landings
i rode the fish for the last two years and loved it, the pop from it is incredible, its just a little slow

129 prolly would be better. might be good to have if some friend/s closer to the 200 lb. range could ride as well

My girls are riding a board around 130 and they're 5'5 and about 120 lbs.

I myself am riding a 138 substance and am 5'6 and 160 lbs.

I really don't think you need to be riding a 125, a 135 is more than fine for your weight and height.

Is that board pretty sweet? More air? Very much a noticeable difference from the Omega? Thank you everybody by the way

its a really sweet board, it takes a few runs to get used to because its so short
but once you do get used to it, its amazing
