Ya, It is still called "Adventure Cove." were you there the year that employee from russia or some place bounced himself off the water trampoline and drowned because he was not wearing a life jaket and did not know how to swim? (just repeatin' stories i heard here). Anyway, i guess ever since that incident Adventure cove has not been the same (took away the tramp for one). I really had high hopes for it, but saw a lot of un-fulfilled potential because of past and ever-present liabilities and just shear lateness in organization. most employees even, did not even know we existed this year. But we made the most of it that Aramark and ParkService would allow. ;)
Apparently they are thinking of moving the "adventure Cove" operation over to boat rentals and i also heard of some thoughts of putting in a winch to compete with Antelope. I went to boat rentals and kinda "lobbied" for them to put in a sesitec 2.0 system. I got the attention of some higher-ups but they in turn were not able to convince THE Higher-Ups of a winch or sesitec 2.0... SUCKS!!!
Aramark still has no competition for lakeside resort stays and big tours, but i bet Antelope can easily pull that rug out from underneath them in the following years.
maybe i am being un-professional in my seemingly "bash" on Aramark (especially as a former employee), but at the same time i have a lot of Love for the company. They have been there for years and are quite a tradition and legend. I just expect more from them, especially when there is competition now.

ANYWAY, about Aman-Giri,
I have found it very difficult to find out stuff about them. They seem almost secretive and what stuff i do hear around town is extremely "Gossipy."
Golf is one of these things i am unsure of. I have read and heard that there will be no golfing AT the resort and that a golf course would disturb the natural scenery or something like that. BUT there is a guy i work with currently who is looking for a potential golf related job there. It seems he has had contact with some people currently involved with Amangiri (i too have, a little) soo... i don't know what to tell ya.
A lot of stuff on the net is based on OLD projections of the resort being finished by late 2007 even. But they are not expected to finish till late spring or early summer of 2009.
Here are some (recent) sites
http://www.luxist.com/2008/06/07/first-amangiri-villas-hit-the-market/ http://www.villasatamangiri.com/home.aspx (this site talks about golf in the activities and shows ONE picture from a golf course and it looks to be the one in Page, but they don't have one built yet to take a pic of anyway, if they are building one)
http://www.okland-const.com/projectDetails.cfm?id=183&cid=1 (this is the construction companies stuff on the resort)
http://amanresorts.com/home.aspx?id=3202 (ironically i still see nothing about amangiri on the amanresorts site)

Hope to Move here ehh?
What do you plan to do here if you come?
It'd be nice to have another person to represent wakeboarding in this deprived wakeboarding oasis! ;)
