As a big guy myself, the board make ALL the difference. I have rode almost every board out there and can tell you with your weigth boards do about the opposite of what the average sales guy will tell you. right now I would recommend the following: LF Team 143(quick board-good pop), Obrien 143 Demented(Fast board-great rise), HL Era 143(nice over all feel-avg speed and pop), HL 143 Parks(fast and poppy-still for a advanced rider), Joyride 143(Mellow with average pop). I have rode almost evertyhing else if you have specific questions.

Im 6'1 250. I started on a 03 LF DLX 147. Found that it was to slow after I learned how to ride. Now I ride a Double Up Pure Ride 141 and I like it. Ive also tried the Gator Ricky G 140-ish (143?) and that was a good middle level board (imo)

Your a pretty big guy...i have some friends who play football at UT and needless to say are RATHER LARGE, bigger then you but still. Anyways they would ride my HYPERLITE CHARGE 147 and it would do a great job of pulling people of their size. It is actually up for sale too, will get rid of real cheap $175.

Great Board, no serious dents or dings, paint in great shape with a honeycomb core.

email me for serious inquiries.

Daniel, get a smaller board.
Scott, Try the ERA 147 or State 145.

I would say at least a 142, I am 6'1, 200 and ride a 143. Demo a few boards if you can.

dangit...its a brand new board, the bigger size shouldn't impact the ride on the water too much should it???

Daniel, try and demo the 138 science and see what you think.

Scott,
My best friend is of the same dimensions you are. He rides a CWB Absolute 141, but he started on a Liquid Force Trip 143. Anything over 140 and you should be ok. Obviously, the bigger the better. The size will impact your landings alot. You want that big cushion.
