Malibu VLX surf wake

I just started wake surfing on my friends old ski MC, and my parents are seriously considering getting the VLX 08 OR 09 does any one have and comments about the surf wake or the wake in general?

Are you into anything else but surfing? If all you want to do is surf I'd get an enzo.

I have an 08 and We have to weight it alot to get a huge surf wake. full MLS on left side, 800lb sack in locker, 450 on side seat, 450 in bow. I will post a pic later.

I love the wake on ours and we do alot of surfing. We fill the side we are surfing, center, and a 400 above the rear tank,and wedge all the way down. All the passengers on the surf side. Usually 4 adults. If we are short on adults we may fill another 400 on the seat of surf side. The wake is clean and above my hip at 10.8. I am 5'11". I will try to post a picture.

i do the same exact thing as abe and the wake is clean and curling... the wakeboard wake is bitchen to

The surf wake is Excellent and so is the Wakeboarding wake. The VLX responds really well with some nose weight.

Surfing we used the rear MLS, 1 sac in locker, one on seat, and wedge

Don't get the 08. Go for the 09 if you want a malibu. They had a recall on the 08. If you are just going to surf try the 247. Weeeeeeee

Jeremy- the 08 are great boats and the recal has been completed and realy wasent a big deal. they replaced all the throttles. that was a decision made by malibu after a couple boats had the problem.
Parker- the surf wave on a vlx is awsome regular is great and goofy is untouchable(except an enzo) I have been surfing mine for a while and I would not hesitate to buy another.

I have surfed many boats and yes the cream of the crop is the enzo but I have many coplaints about fit finish layout and most of all the side sweept exhaust wich gives me a head ach every time i ride that boat.My vlx has been very good to me and if I did it again the only thing I would change would be to go bigger (23 lsv).

Rich u have the biggest wake but also the biggest gas bill, thanx guys for the pictures. wake surfing is fun but it's the lowest on the pole for me, as of now
