Has anyone been to Bass lake, California? We are thinking about going there for a long weekend? Thursday thru Monday during July ? Any thoughts?

Thanks

It's ok . Would not go back. The lake is directional and they are strick about it. There is a speed limit, and it is over crowded fri-sun.
During the week is ok. Hard to find smooth water.

All you need is a tube and you will fit right in. Very small, very strict, tons of tubes and 5 MPH from 8 pm to 8 am. Great place to visit just leave the boat at home.

Ben, all you need is a tube pulled by a pontoon boat and you'll fit right in!

Bring John Candy's video "THE GREAT OUTDOORS".
It was filmed there. Can not ride early... 8am the Rollers start and go all day too busy for me. Go tubing...
Good Luck - Joe

Used to run a camp there years ago- very crowded, but beautiful area and nice little town. On our day off we would drive about 20 minutes from there to ride at Redinger Lake- one boat ramp and hardly any people- only 5 houses- nothing but glass. Here's a link:

Just found this link for a rental house on Redinger but looks pretty spendy- sleeps 14 though: http://www.vrbo.com/123264

You could still stay in Bass lake and go ride at Redinger for the glass.Good Luck.

You should make the trip to cen. cal and visit Nacimiento or San Antonio lake. Trust me the drive is worth it.
