MRI last week revealed some bad news, C-3 herniated. I'll know more later this week, after seeing a neuro specialist. Can I continue to ride? Pain is not bad, and I feel like I can make a go of it. Any advice from other's out there who've dealt w/ this bummer? I'm sure doc will say no way as a default answer. Effects of repeated faceplants is frieking wife out. Thanks!!

Well, one thing you need to watch out for with a herniated disk is rupturing it. If it gets ruptured, basically they may have to fuse the two vertebrates surrounding it.

How is the pain? Try to get a real opinion from the neuro aside from his scripted answer.

You could always either medicate or do some PT on your own time to help.

I would consider visiting a sports doctor.

Personally the back is not something to mess with. If you have an injury you should get it diagnosed and start physical therapy before risking servere injury, that could change your life forever.
