I have an 04 Cyclone with a stock 3 blade acme prop. I am looking to upgrade to a 4 blade, but am kinda scared of it changing the wake. Can any of the Centurion owners who have upgraded props help me?

Why would you consider a 4-blade to be an upgrade? It seems that most wake boat props that Acme is coming out with are 3-blade.

I have always had 4 blades on my Centurions and once tried a 3 blade but could not get it to run as smooth as the 4. Thanks to www.propellersonline.com they swapped my spare 3 for a 4 blade. Actually, I was thinking the 3 blade prop may help the wake stay clean. If I remember correctly when I tried the 3 blade my wake did look a little cleaner but not really nothing to brag about. Unless your are adding a ton of weight and need a better hole shot and your boat is running smooth I would stick with the 3 blade.

The 04 came standard with a 3 blade Acme. In 04 the boats had a 1 to 1 V drive so they used the smaller 3 blade prop that works great!

In 05 they switched to a 1 to 1.5 V drive and switched to the larger 4 blade props. Acme has never been able to build a 3 blade that will work on the Centurions with the 1 to 1.5 V drives. Like Lance I tried one and it was AWFUL
