I have a belmont 141 and its gotten pretty beat up. Its got nicks and even small pieces of board have broken off the edges, there is even some deep scratches. I was just wondering if it can affect the way you ride cause as far as I can tell I don't see much difference.

My last board had 1 or 2 scratches and nicks. Of course it'll make the board weaker and slow it down relative to how many scratches you have. No biggy, just keep riding it.
Look up the fix-a-dent article if you want to patch anything up.

I've seen guys tear it up on slider boards that had been ground down to nothing. Arun Frances was straight killin-it one day with all the molded fins ground off of his Premier.

At a certain point I'm sure it slows the board down. But it would take a lot.
