I recently bought a house and want to replace all the millwork in the home. Everything from the basetrim to door casings and door. I have gotten a quote from a good company here in the area, but wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions for another quote. I have asked around, but most people don't have any suggestions (most of my friends don't own homes).

Also, I have considered doing this myself, but it's not really something I want to tackle at this point.

Wish I was closer I'd give you a bid. I need some more work right about now. I would think you could find someone to do it for a reasonable price. Just make sure they do quality work. I would get at least two estimates.

Eric, you can PM me your door count, trim details and lf. of base and what your first quote is and I can tell you if it is fair or not. I have been doing trim and doors for a long time. If you can wait till the spring I can come over and take care of it for you (I live in Coeur d'Alene). I would defiantly get more than one quote. Since the economy tanked everybody and their brother is a carpenter. Unfortunately I don't know anyone in Tacoma. If it was in Seattle I could hook you up with some great trim guys.

Eric, one of my best friends does this for a living and may be interested. He's very busy but I'll let him know about this thread and he can PM you.

NM, I texted him to take a look at this thread but he's booked out until February.

Jae, I wil do a count of everything and send it over. Seattle isn't that far from Tacoma either, depending on where they are at.

Hate, the company I got the quote through wouldnt start until December anyways, since they have to order everything and paint it, plus they are booked out a bit. I am always down to wait to save some money. No rush.

Thanks
