Check out this simple but great invention, a must for anyone who hauls a trailer, cheap and easy. There are some other interesting inventions from this show.

Cool
Our new Tahoe has the back up camera on it.
The back camera about as good as it gets.

Major reason for my Avalanche upgrade - back up camera and navigation! :-) Don't know how I lived without either before! :-)

Trev: Yea the back up cammera is a awesome invention I think you said you have a Denali. My Esclade has the same thing. I guess for the people with older rig's or no back up cammera this could be a nice/cheep way to do things.
BTW: Have you ever had someone that didnt know you had a back up cammera help you back up. You fly up and put the ball right on the trailer and they look at you like you are some kind of backing god LOL

Never understood why this thing was successful. I tow two different trailers I tow all the time & for some reason don't have problems hooking either one up.

Well I have a lifted 4X4 and am a capable driver but when alone I still have to get out a couple times to be sure I'm lined up when hooking up. Not a big deal with the boat, can move it a little, but can't move the 7000lb RV.

Sorry. I'm not capable at all, drive a 4x4 Avalanche & can find the middle of the tailgate in the mirror without a problem. I just backup till I think I'm close, get out once & look at how far I'm off, then spot the same distance on the ground next to the driver's door. Works fine on the boat or ATV trailer, neither of which move all that easily.

I guess it is a great invention.

I have an 05 F150 but bought the 08 handle then went on ebay and bought a $24 camera. I can put it on the ball everytime first time. Makes it real easy for parallel parking as well. I hook everything up a lot by myself so this makes it a lot easier. I have a stubby hitch which I bought before the camera so you can't see the ball in the screen but I know exactly where it is.

My boat trailer jack has a wheel on it, makes it easy to attach the boat.

Try it once with the backup camera and you won't know how you lived without it. Have one on my QX56 and its so nice not having to get out multiple times to check and recheck. Funny how simple things can make life that much better. Good find.
