Were do you guys buy new props? I dinged my prop for a MC X15 about a week or two ago. I am having it fixed but they need 12 business days and i am leaving on a houseboating trip to shasta this sunday. So i am thinking about just buying a spare. I understand that some people get a torque prop that will help you plain faster but loose top end. Also do you recommend a brass prop or stainless or alluminum? I need a prop asap cause i still have to have it shipped and installed by Saturday so i can leave on sunday. Thanks alot

Josh

Everyone I have ever talked to always recommends getting a brass prop ACME or OJ so when you do hit something the prop takes the damage and hopefully doesn't mess up the prop shaft or the 'arm' holding it. Stainless can be so strong that it won't give and can be more likely to throw off the shaft when hit.

Call ACME props or OJ, tell them what boat and weight you run and they can have a prop to you very quick (overnight if you want to pay over $50 for shipping.

Have fun on the houseboat!

Yeah I just got replacement from them, best price that I have seen, not sure if they have a recommendation for you as to which prop to get.

I just got one from www.deltapropellers.com and I ordered it on a wed and had it by fri. they had comparable prices to boarditup also, I tried boarditup first but I couldn't get in touch with a real person and verify everything was in stock and that it would be shipped.

I dealt with delta propellers last year and had a great experience with them (good prices, good service).

I am on a jobsite in Iowa and my phone took a swim. Back on today. Shipped out several without an issue.
