Today at the Liquid Force demo in Knoxville, TN I got to ride both the Watson and Bonifay boards. For some comparison, I ride the Substance 138 usually: I really liked the Watson's look (even the hologram in the middle of the board was done very well). I thought the Watson was really fast, definately the fastest LF board I've ever rode. Not my type of board, accelerated alot faster than the Substance in my opinion. LOADS of pop (I saw one of my friends throw the biggest tantrum that i'd ever seen him do), but not so abrupt you can't control it. Most people loved the landings, on both of the boards. The Bonifay board was solid, I really liked the look (even though the gold picture frame seemed a little cheap). The LF rep gave us the info on the center picture, each board is individual. They take one of the 36 pics/fragmented pics (12 in each of the 3 colages on the back) and put it on the frontside frame. The frame could be located anywhere on the board inbetween the two bindings. Not sure if this is info already available on the net or not, but I figured I'd write it anyway. I liked the performance on this board more than the Watson. It didn't seem like it had as much abrupt acceleration as the Watson, but still fast (a couple of the other guys thought it was faster than the Watson). This board had pretty abrupt pop, and not so much it eliminated acceleration (alot of people kept into the flats). The cupped fins really locked in and went, I wish I had the money on the spot to get this board, I was generally really happy with it. The Shane and Watson bindings didn't show up in time for the demo, but we got to ride all the other '06 stuff. I mainly rode the '06 Sphynx's, until the end of my set on the Bonifay board. Popped out of the bindings and the board slung around and hit me in the head, temporarily ending my riding for a little while. The '06 Transits seemed to be the big hit, they were sturdy as could be. Then again, we haven't got to ride the most anticipated bindings. Anyways, we were pretty lucky to get to ride this stuff (and get tons of stickers, haha). It was alot of fun, and many thanks to the LF rep and American Boat Center for supplying the '06 Nautique! Definately was fortunate, lots of good riding and riders today
