Mine had a crack in the white elbow fitting (on the battery side). I removed all three, pluged one end and filled with a hose.

Checked again and found small holes in the seams of each bag..time to order new ones, I am going to price replacement bladders from fluid concepts, larger size, and boarders paradise. The hippo bags didn't last very long!

Did the bags freeze? This could cause their life to be shortened a lot.

Jim, i have some factory bags for sale if you want to replace them - they are made by BFI - no leaks with these bags and i have a new set too.

My two biggest complaints with my 02' SSV
1- The ballast system sucks! They Leak, and the hoses pop off all the time.
2- I think the quality of the vinyl is pretty poor (anyone else notice that?)

I also have an '02 SSV, with ~280 hours, 90% of it wakeboarding.

1. The ballast system works flawlessly, with no leaks. If the connections come loose repeatedly, it's time for the dealer to fix it.

2. The vinyl is holding up nicely. All the seams are tight, and the stain shield has worked well.
