Just want to see what other guys are using, any suggestions? Also should I use those soft wax pads or just by hand and a soft cloth.

I have access to a wax that is desinged for fire trucks. It truly provides a heavy duty protection. It is called Pierce Polish. You might contact your local fire department and see where they buy theres.

A wax designed for fire trucks? What does it do - withstand direct flame?

You have been duped by an evil marketing genius.

If you can find a shop in your area that does teflon coating I would have that done instead of wax. Well worth the $$ in my opinion and a lot less work, I had mine done and the boat looks like it was waxed every time I take it out the water.

Here is a link if you want to read up on
waxing vs. teflon.
