My pp is not holding speed very well running above the limit then dropping down up, down....
How do I tune this thing? My literature on it sucks. List any functions you know cause I'm going to make a cheat sheet to keep on the boat. After inspecting the throttle cable it looks a little funny (loose?) at the pp attachment point. took a pic of it. On "my mastercraft.com" they mention "KdW" and "NN" settings but dont explain what they mean or how to cahnge them or why you would want to.

Go to www.perfectpass.com and contact one of the tech guys. You can phone 902) 468-2150 and ask for Randy. They are on the East Coast, so call early. They are real good at helping and explaining how to set it up. What engine do you have? I can check my Maristar tommorrow and see if the throttle cable looks like yours.

Is that K7N filter stock?

I don't think they are coast guard approved flame arrestors.

On the PP issue, try going to their website. i found better instructions there that the book I got with my boat.

Sounds to me like you need to do a linkage test...specific instructions on the PP website. Also, make sure you don't kill the engine with the throttle engaged...that will cause the slack.

the KDW is what you will need to adjust. Once you get it right you will love it. It comes from the factory set to the stock weight of the boat, if you are running excessive weight you will need to bump it up.

There's a flurry of Bugg activity today. Very unusual.

Robert, I would guess that K&N is fine..I know my Mcx and now LQ9 engines had them stock from Indmar. Does anyone know for sure?

Brett, I wouldn't be concerned with the play. Mine was the same way both boats. If you still have the PP manual it walks you through the settings. If not, PP had the manual on-line in PDF in the past.
