I really liked Such Is Life. It was a great film with a lot of amazing footage, and was edited very well. one of the few board films that I can sit down and watch once/twice a week and not just get bored. Makes me want to go ride.

Wow, lots of Butter Effects huh? I did the intro for that vid, and a few other little graphical elements throughout. Kilgus' current project "Bent Felix" seems to be another step up from Butter Effect. I am doing the intro again, and we are going to try some new stuff out. Also, all of his 16mm footage looks even better this time around.

Back in the day I wore out 2 copies of Switch. I loved that video. Also, Hit It was my first video, and still to this day has the section that many people still look at as "the section". Lately I'll watch anything from Stephens, Kilgus, or Heavener. They are all good in their certain ways. Also, nobody has mentioned Invicible Cinema. I rocked that soundtrack for months after it came out. Also, I love the energy in the Lyman section in the beginning.

Mike - props on the intro, very clean looking, flowed nice with the rest of the film. I finally got to check out the teaser for Bent Felix and it looks like its going to be good. Do u know if he is still shooting on the Arri S?

Anybody know anything about Bent Felix? (supposed to be released 6-18-06. It's now 6-19-06! I need a fix!

Yes, Kilgus is still shooting with the Arri exclusively for this title. The intro will be shot with the HVX-200 though, because there will be some special effects/transitions that will be much easier accomplished with HD (because of all of the pixels to work with). As far as last year's intro went (for The ButterEffect), thanks for the comments. That was kindof a last minute deal. Sean was really tight with the deadline, so he gave me a few photos, some 16mm footage, and some sponsor logos and said "make it work". I had about a week to complete it. The hardest part was creating all of those sponsor logo animations in such a short time. I ran out of ideas pretty quickly.

Bent Felix is delayed for right now. Until when, I don't know. Sean hurt his back and hasn't been shooting lately. I can't speak for him, but I am pretty sure that he was about 90% done with the shooting, so it shouldn't be too long. He gave me a deadline for the intro to be completed, so based on that I would assume the film should be done in about a month or two. But who knows. Like I said, I can't speak for him. All I know is that he isn't going to release it until it's done.
