Kiteboarding in Indiana

Hey, I was wondering if anyone knows of any good lakes in Indiana to kiteboard at. I just bought all the equiptment for kiteboarding and I found out that my lake doesnt allow it. Thanks

I don't know a thing about kiteboarding so don't know if smooth water is important or wind or what. I'm assuming wind is...if not stop reading now :-)

I don't know if it's allowed there or not but I would think Monroe would be a good place to go. It's pretty wide open...kinda giant bowl shaped...they have sailboats and whatnot that run out there. I typically stay away from Monroe for wakeboarding due to the shape causing really bad wind chop most of the time. Good luck in your search.

I never heard of a lake that doesn't allow it. Was it Heritage or Wawasee, I would think that Wawasee could be fairly good, being wide open.

I sail on Lake James, 1st basin is good on a south wind. You could launch from the state park beach by the Inn.
Crooked Lake is good on west wind and northerlies. Launch from 76 park.
