Hay I installed a 100 amp alternator and now I am triping my circuit breaker but only when I shut the motor down. Anyone else have this problem?? Do I need to upgrade the breaker or do ya think I could have a short somewhere???

I also upgraded to a 100 amp on my 95 PCM GT40. I had to retro fit it and change the pulley I can't really remember but I think I had to by pass the breaker I will look at it and get back with you.

You're tripping the 60amp breaker? Or did you install a new 100amp breaker when you installed the new alternator?
