What is the best way to weight a Nautique 2001 for wakeboarding?

What kind?! We slammed a 2001 210 for years. Went through 2 engine replacements, lol!

we used to run 600 lbs of steel in the back and 350/400 in the nose give you nice lippy wake w/ 4/5 people in it. on occasion we would throw a 550 behind the engine if there was just a few of us.

I ran two 775 sacks, one on each side of the engine box and about 200+ of lead on the floor behind the motor box with 3-4 people the wake was awesome. Basically with that hull, you want to sink it evenly, too much in the back and the wake gets extremely steep, moving weight to the nose makes it more rampy but you had best be aware of what is going on or you'll be dipping it. You can see a pic of the wake with that config here:

I run 250 to 500 on each side of the motor, and 2-3 people up front with 150 behind the motor to even out the wake.

400 lbs in lead on each side of the motor. Fat Sac behind the motor and 300lbs (sand) up in the nose.

Check out the2001.com for lots of good 2001 info.

I ride with 500 on each side of the motor but pushed back a bit. This is my ideal wake on my 2001.

I used to run about 2gs with 5 people and it could get out of the water, after about 1 1/2 the tranny was gone but it was fun while it lasted. 500's on each side is plenty if you have people to weight the nose.

gphanton - 'after about 1 1/2 the tranny was gone'

You mean weighting with 1500lbs. put the tranny out?

I am running 440lbs on either side of the engine and 4 people in the boat and the wake is great. Sometimes I throw a 500lb sack behind the engine. The twin 440lbs also works well for surfing if you throw all the people in the back corner.

I am running the 440's. I like the way they fit better than most sacks. I have about 200lbs in lead that I am going to put under the seat next time out.
