Yeah, Ive used mine for such a long time they are falling apart as well. When i got the board last year the boots, i had no trouble putting the boots on. They fit perfect for me. You bought the retail price right? Not a blur version of it.

I just got a sticker made that says something about the economy suckin', and that's the reason why the update of my graphics remains as a TBA event.

I'll post a picture later.

regardless....I'll be on a shane 140.

HOOD rich.

Mine is on the way 09 Ibex with Reliks
Old    wiz            03-09-2009, 5:29 PM Reply
jeremy, thanks! i've been a big ss fan for the past couple of years & got a good deal on the super ltd otherwise i'd be on my recoil still. i couldnt do the co bindings. they seemed a little too stiff for me. i think the pb floyds are the most flexible closed toe on the market. i got to ride the setup yesterday, but the water was pretty choppy so i couldnt really get the feel of it. hopefully soon i'll get a nice day.

the boots fit on fine just the bold I think are a bit to long ill just file them down a bit.... I bought a demo board from performance ski an surf down the OTown FL.. im not sure if its a blur or not?!? I mean I know its a real ronix ibex but its the demo run of the ones they made.... still rides great!! all except for the concrete landings! can anyone suggest a boot that's made for a rough landing?
Old     (matteoh)      Join Date: Jul 2008       03-09-2009, 10:07 PM Reply
The new 09 ronix or hyperlite boots are suppose to have great support for rough landings. the 08 byerlys and hyperlites are sick too. i know what you mean though with the concrete landings.

08 Lyman with 08 Relik bindings

Got it at the end of last year and have not really got to ride it much, pumped to get out and try.

Previous set up was 06 Parks with 05 Belmonts. Those 05 Belmonts were the bomb for support.

I'll geek out since I just got a new setup. This will be interesting. First time with closed toe boots and it's the biggest board I've ever had. Boots all the way out might be a little too much even with me being 6'0" so I may have to play around with it.

08' Lyman with 08' Watsons.

My first non CWB board in more than 10 years!

Dan or Joe, can you describe the difference in feel with the LF Limited Edition Air beds? I imagine it is like a a thousand tiny pillows which despite their softness, do not contribute to heel lift.

Jon, i loved it. its so much lighter than my old board. My dad said i was getting about 2 extra feet of air which surprised me coming from a 3 stage. I could definatly tell i was higher though cause i kept overrotating my spins.

What's up with Ronix's hardware? Does the outside mount through the plate and the inside use an extension? That's different, it's like a combo of Hyperlite's claw and CWB's system.

What would you guys think if boards came with two less inserts and more adjustable hardware? Especially on pro decks where the inside inserts never get used.
Old     (jnewton7)      Join Date: Jun 2005       03-13-2009, 1:30 PM Reply
Big Heavy you can set it up either way depending on your stance...but if you want to ride all the way out you must use the extension on the inside and its similar to the claw...if you ride any of the other holes you can just mount straight through the plate on both sides. So far the bindings feel locked down a lot better than in years past...

They would look pretty sweet on the white 08 Response lol
Old    sealyon.net            03-13-2009, 5:13 PM Reply
The ronix extensions are for mounting old boots on the new boards. The new boots have a smaller base plate to limit or stop warping and any flexing.
Old    slodano            03-13-2009, 5:30 PM Reply
Andy, the LF limited edition bindings are like having a cushion between your feet and board. When a good amount of downward pressure is applied to the foot bed, the airbed cushion absorbs some of the energy, before it makes its way back down to the board. You can actually view this process through the windows at the bottom of the binding. Also my heels felt locked in the entire time.
