I was curious to see if anyone had any suggestions for weighting my but. I have 2 540 fat sacs and 20 405 sac (10X16X20) for the bow and mid ship i have a stock center ballast tank mid ship 225 ... I have no clue where to put the weight and how much i know i want to weight down the passenger side with the weight but i put about 750 in the rear locker and both 405s under the side seat and on top of the seat the the pocket was small it seemed any suggestions or has anyone ever riden behind one of these ? New to surfing this summer and just wanna have some fun

I had an '04 Lightning V drive. I think that's the same hull as your boat. It took a little effort on my old boat and lots of weight. For my eye the key was more about generating the list than adding weight. I had to get the boat to list at about 18 to 20 degrees. I set the trim tab up for the regular side and mostly down for the port side.

Get your ballast as far out board as possible. I ran with a 750 in the back locker, a 750 under the bench, center tank full, and about 450 pounds of bag weight.

Without a trim tab he goofy side will be difficult.

Bag weight In the port bow. I also put 80 pounds of bar bell weight on the tower as far out boar as possible.

A good pic of the Lighting hull? http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/i...g/P1010003.jpg
