Sounds like a sweet deal to me. Just be sure not to tell anyone how sweet the wake is behind it so the prices don't continue to go up due to their excellent reputation. One question is what the heck is a wakeplate for on a V210? The boat is small and planes awesome without, and doesn't appear to need it for enhancing the wake. Also test drive one with the 350mag engine. Black Scorp isn't needed for the V210 in my opinion, and you might not be able to tell the difference too.

Wakeplate would help for cruising, mine tends to bounce at speeds over 26-27 mph, the wakeplate would help to trim it out and smooth that out.

Thanks Chuck, I was curious if they designed it for wake enhancement because a V210 doesn't really need it.

actually I don't think they call it a wakeplate (i think that's moomba's name for it), but i can't remember what the guy called it.

as far as testing one with the 350mag, i can't because the guy here in michigan only orders them with the scorpion so the sundeck is flatter.

Well Jon either way you won't be dissapointed. Since it is an '06 couldn't you order it with either engine though. Or does he have an '06 in stock that you're holding out on pictures of the new tower from us. The whole sundeck thing is preference, and the dealer in Washington seems to do the same thing. I think the curved sundeck looks sporty.

you could get alittle more for that price.. you didnt mention stereo, depth finder, # board racks, and extra gear, why not triple ballast?

i did list 'stereo w cd'

he said sanger doesn't offer triple ballast on the v210 anymore.

the scorpion engine is just his preference i guess. i would have to order one. if/when i get a picture, i'll be posting for sure.

what's the 411 on the new towers?

I just heard they were changing the tower. The rear tanks were probably discontinued in the V210 because it likes to be weighed down in the front.

According to the website they do offer the trip ballast on that boat.

the 210 is the entry wake boat now that the 215 is out, lots of the options are not offered on the 210 anymore. You can't go by Sangers web site, it has not been updated for a while now.

I would get a stripped down V215 instead of the V210. And then add the other gear over time. There are some dealers in CA that could set you up with a V215 for 39K, Michigan is a long haul from Fresno, CA so that adds some to the cost. I test drove the 210, 215 and 230 before I bought. Liked the ride, room, and wake best on the V215. The wife likes the flat sun deck on the back, too. Another deciding factor was that I could fit the 215 in the garage.

I would agree w/ Robert W. Unless there is a special reason you want the 210. I would step up to the 215. Much more room and triple balast is a MUST. Look around and you should be able to get a great deal on one. But either way you go, you cn't go wrong w/ a Sanger!!!

I personally feel the opposite. If he doesn't need the space the 210 will throw a better wake with less effort. Different wake, but better. The V210 in my experience is the closest wake you can get to a Super Air, and is one of the best handling V drives out there. Fuel economy is a litte better although I'm not familiar with the Black Scorp economy.

Jon;

I sent you my price today, and what you are listing there is a great deal. 39,500 OTD I can't touch. In going with the black scorp. yo are getting 1-2 mph on the top end but you do gain some torque and the resale is the big key. Rear ballast are not offered any more and in gel graphics are not offered any more. THe 210 and 215 are two diffrent boats. The wakes are very diffrent but both quality wakes. The 210 is more abrupt while the 215 is much smoother and rampy. The 215 is more boat with the same handeling as the 210 and the ability to hold more weight. The web site is supposed to be updated soon along with a Sanger owners site comming soon.

I dont think that Sanger offers rear bags in the V210 because they were making so many of them that the couldnt keep up. a lot of options were discontinued for 05

Yah, sure he could get a Malibu v drive for that price (or even close - $49000 out the door would be a good deal on a Bu v drive). No reason not to buy the Sanger, let alone at that price.

My Malibu had the Black Scorp. I loved it, while the power numbers were not much of an upgrade from MAG MPI, IMO the Scorp felt a heck of a lot soother at higher RPMs. Liked it so much, my new boat had to have it, but now the 6.2. Never second guessed spending the extra money on either.

For those with the V215 do you have the adjustable ride plate or fixed? I am thinking that if you trim the plate right up it would steepen the wake up to V210 shape but don't know for sure. I am thinking about upgrading to the V215 next year but I can't really think of a better shaped wake than the 210. The 215 is a nicer boat for sure but we are pretty serious riders and wake performance is a bigger part of the pie than the boat itself for us.

Now the black Scorpion is not an issue when it comes to the cost of upgrading (under $1000.00). I have the Hydraulic plate and when the trim is up it alows the rear to set all the way down in the water. But it brings the nose up. The true benifit is the adjustments to the wake you can make and not having to drain the ballast before racing to the next spot to ride. You can eleminate all porposing by triming down. The diffrence in the wake of the 210 and 215 comes from the hull shape. size is equal in both. If your a big fan of an abrupt wake the 210 leans toward your riding, if your looking for a rampy predictable wake then the 215 is suited more for that.

Darren:
If you weighed a 215 how you have your 210 weighed I think you would be more than impressed and with the wake. I would go out on a limb and say the 215 would out size the 210 and give you a smoother launch. I have seen lots of pic's of your wake and impressive it is.
