Just went to the boat show this past weekend, and now i'm even more excited about the summer. It sure sucks having such a short wakeboarding season.

Anyone in Ontario wakeboard near port severn, or the grand river?

(bounces head off of desk) I think that hurts less than knowing there's 3 feet of ice or more on my lake.

I hate it!!! I'm in LaSalle, MB (just south of Winnipeg), and I'm going absolutely nuts. It's been sold cold and blizzardy, school has actually been cancelled 3 days in a row. I really have to go down to Florida. Us Canadian wakeboarders have it really hard in the winter.

I'm frustrated with Canadian weather, I'm up here in Hamilton for work. Can't wait to get back to Atlanta, but it was 19 deg F there last night. Still, I've been wakeboarding already this year.

Manitoba is the worst for this. We can get really hot summer days (sometimes over 100F!) and brutally cold winter days (see pic)

Had two weeks down south over Christmas and was out everyday.
Came home and went wakeskating on Jan 2 here in Vancouver then it got real cold up to yesterday. It was +13 this morning if not for work I would have gone. I think winter is done here.

All the lakes in Muskoka are frozen over right now...so no riding for quite a while.

Rick,
By the sounds of it, you will be able to wakeboard to work soon with all the rain you guys have been having! I think it is wishfull thinking that winter is done already! I usually wait until at least mid feb to re-commission the boat.

Yeah were drowning here, I live next to the Fraser so I'm getting nervous.
I should rephrase that the worst of the winter is over with. The rain will last a couple more months but it is 20 degrees warmer than a week ago and I will be on the water this weekend hell or high water. Well hell anyway...

Excellent! I love to hear about guys riding all year around here! I finally bought a house with a garage, so I'm thinking some early season skiing might be in my future now that I don't have to worry so much about getting caught without it winterized. My biggest prob this time of year is finding people to join me or at least drive the boat.
Have a great weekend. If you are ever on the island and need a pull in the Parksville/nanaimo/port alberni area, drop me a note.

Weather is being lame lately in BC... Too cold to wakeboard but all the mountains aren't getting any snow so you can't snowboard either. Only thing that stays good is surfing I guess.

go snowboard...here in Washington my local resort got 6 inches of rain in 24 hours. Coming from a mountain that gets 400+ inches per year it just plain sucks here right now. The whole Northwest is hurting though so there's probably a ton of ticked off people like myself out there.

Lonny that post wasn't for you, I hear yah about BC, I'd drive up there if it were any good right now.

Thanks for the offer Brad, I get to the island now and then so I'll keep that in mind.
The Lake was overflowing this morning, every log on the beach is now in the water. Rain poured constantly, great time nonetheless.
