It just goes to show that you don't need a huge wake to be good. I was sucked in to all the hype of extra ballast and bla bla bla. Now I just use stock ballast and or wedge and the wake is fine...

I learned almost everything I can do behind a 89 prostar 190 with a pretty damn small wake. Bigger wakes just make it WAY more fun. Still very impressive man!

Awesome riding behind that outboard (or any boat for that matter), but doublely for an outboard. Surprised that they allow a wake in that location. Nobody gives you grief for that?

^^^^^Didn't look like you were making too much wake to me. Glides, ralley, whirley were killer!

thanks a lot guys. the location is fort lauderdale florida and as long as your boat is under 21' you can wakeboard or ski without grief!

I've seen plenty of outboard boats with weight in them, should work about the same as any boat more weight, bigger wake... We never put any ballast in our old boat because once you got 6 people plus all the gear on board there wasn't room for anything else.

Back in the day we used to ride behind my buddies fishing boat. I think it was around 25' but we would just fill the live wells and shred. The wake always had a white wash lip on it and was small but it was poppy. I could do all of my tricks on it. It just took a little more energy and a lot harder edge. Really good for technique actually because you really have to learn how to wait for your pop.

i live on a private lake that only allows boats that are 20' 6'' long or shorter on it...along with no wake enhancements...i own a 1986 malibu skier...and so does the local pro, he can throw raleys all day, tons of mobes like moby dicks, tootsie rolls, he can spin 5's i think he even hit a seven once. And to top it all off it was behind an unwieghted 1986 malibu skier,
