Anybody use these pumps as DIY systems? (mounted)

Just wondering if anybody has ever mounted these pumps some way to use as fill and drain pumps, as opposed to using them handheld.

It is very common to use those pumps mounted. They were actually built originally as aerator pumps for bait tanks and were mounted. The cig lighter adapter is a mod. You will need two for each tank or bag that you want to fill and you can install them both on a 3 way rocker switch with one way turning on the fill pump and the other turning on the drain pump.

My 02 SAN uses the Rule Aerator pumps. The system works well other than the obvious never enough weight thing. My only problem is that the fill and empty do all three, so no tweaking which is needed in that boat.

The system has seperate through hulls for each of the three fill pumps. There is a ball valve between each through hull and the aerator. It's pretty fast aside from the extra bags to fill, but we may replace the rear hard tanks with larger bags anyway. We also have a bag that sits on the bow seats.

The aerators are pretty reliable, no impellers, and are cheap to replace. Do like troy said if you go this route, use the rocker switches and you can tweak the rear sacks for a nicer wake.

I am in the middle of installing eight of the T-1200's in my boat. They're great pumps, but hard to find fittings for the oddball 1-1/8" threads.

did you find the fittings locally? i've been thinking of taping into my raw water and running a simple setup using the tsunamis.

The pumps come with a 1" barb elbow, and I bought the rest from FlyHigh. They will also make custom fittings, but they aren't cheap. I had to get special fittings made to attach the pumps directly to the sack.

I used a short piece of 1 1/4" pvc hose between pump and 1" rigid pvc pipe into the manifold (hard to see in this pic)

If you like rule i'd go with the 2000gph aerator model # 207f not that much more expencive and twice as fast. Or you can get 3700 gph's from diversified marine with 1 1/2" in and out fittings. Thats about 500 gallons a minute. Thats just bad@ss
