Hey All,

I just bought the Hyperlite TFD 142. I'm wondering how it would ride with smaller fins. The board came stock with the 1.1 fins. Have any of you played with different shapes or sizes?

My friend Troy said that he went from the 1.1" fins and went to the .7" fins and it was the best thing he ever did to the board. Still tracks well but he's able to slide and spin the thing on the water like crazy.

That is interesting, i have just bought a TFD and havent even used it yet although i did demo one with the 1.1" fins. I like my board to spin easily for surface 3's and things.

i've been riding the 136 with .7's and like it alot. i've mainly just been sliding, but have hit the wake a bit too, and they seem good. a little loose, but good.

Thanks Guys,

I was riding with 1.1s on my old board a Motive 144, and I really liked the loose feeling it had out in the flats, yet it was still able to hook in nice on my approach to the wake. I love the feel of my new board when I hook in on my approach,it's faster and it has awesome pop compared to my old board. I just want a looser feel out in the flats. The .7s sound like the ticket.

Gary,

are you and the boy coming to Pateros???

If anyone is looking for some .7" fins, I just placed 4 on ebay. I used to have them on my 2003 Parks. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3620649831&category=23 807
