Has anyone had custom sacks made for under the bow cushions of an old Xstar or X2? A little information regarding size, company and approximate weight would be appreciated.

Thanks

my dealer, liquid sports marine, in orlando puts side sacks under the front on switches just like the stock ballast. it works great.

I use a couple Fly High side sacks (~250lbs each) on each side under my bow seats. A buddy of mine runs same thing in his X-10, plus a couple of the X-Stars I ride in are same. The top fill-ports on the side sacks work fine if you run a self-priming pump.

As far as custom sacks are concerned, probably the best outfit to go with is Lets Go Ride (http://www.letsgoride.com). You can specify whatever size/# ports you want and the bags are hardcore. I've got one in my locker and it kills.

Good luck!

Here's what superairdawg is talking about.
I have also attached a link to my install. It's for the X10 so it may not apply to your situation, but it may provide a baseline.

Hey Joe or Travis, did you do anything to protect the vent hoses from being crushed by the sacks? Don't know if the setup is the same in the X-10s, but if so, did you Paul?

We currently run fatbuddies under the cushions, but they obviously can't fill to capacity as they are too short and stubby, and therefore also throw a full sack in the walkway. Were hoping to with side sacks get enough under the seats (and dash) that we could only complement with a fatbuddy on the floor. (Not using lead due to towing). But haven't gotten around to look into the vent hose thing (fatbuddies stop short of them if positioned right).

Thx,

Fredrik

Fredrik...I'm not sure if you're talking air vent hoses or sac vent hoses so I'll answer both.
Air vent hoses weren't an issue with the X10 setup. It actually helped ease the installation. As for sac vent hoses...I haven't set them up...yet. With some hose, Y adapters, and check valves (if I chose) I can do it in under and hour by taping into my center ballast vent lines.
Here's the link to my install I forgot to attach in previous post.

Air/engine compartment vent hoses. On the X-2, longer sacks would definitively sit against the hoses and push them against the walkway inner walls. Doesen't look from your pics that it would be an issue on the X-10 though. Oh, and BTW, I had already scouted out your install post. It looks really good!
